The question is do I want to pay $546 to hunt Elk in Colorado this year since I didn't draw out in NM or a UT cow tag. (I see that it's $251 for a cow tag).

Well, I guess I assume it might also depend on other factors like where you are traveling from, where you think you want to stay in Colorado and if your goal is a trophy or meat for the freezer. I love the state of Colorado and I think you really can't go wrong here. Lots of elk here.
